Context: Burma, USA and Liberia do NOT use the metric system. These are the only three countries in the world that have very little implementation of the metric system. USA uses imperial, Liberia uses something called USCS, and Burma uses another made-up system that applies to length, mass, volume, and money. I'd explain more of Burma's complicated measurement system units, but it take forever; there's some information online for you to read about Burma's complicated (At least I think it's complicated) system of measurement it uses.
Meh, I could. But, I've always known the country's name as Burma. I know Myanmar is the modern name for it. I just see 'Burma' as an easy way of saying it as well. Because, a while back, I didn't KNOW how to pronounce Myanmar (True story!) So I just called Burma. Now, I've always known the country name as Burma, and nothing else, I could have called it Myanmar, I just wanted to stick to Burma for the reasons explained above.
